I read somewhere that it costs somewhere around $240,000 to raise one child from birth to age 18. Multiply that by three and my husband and I are in the hole almost a million dollars. That $200,000 doesn’t include the cost of college either. That’s the cost of food, clothes, and extracurriculars, and whatever else your little offspring may need.

As I made the transition from mom of two to mom of three, the work wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. However, with groceries, preschool tuition for my middle son - Isaac, uniforms for my oldest - Caleb, school supplies for two kids, backpacks, lunch boxes, diapers, wipes, and other life expenses, the money isn’t as free flowing as it was before.

So! We take advantage of back to school deals! Carter’s is the perfect place for us since we have to clothe three kids that have a pretty significant size spread even though they’re sort of close in age. If you’ve ever gone shopping with kid’s you understand the importance of one store carrying Newborn Clothes all the way to Boy Clothes. Now, I’m not one to participate in Black Friday, but I can understand the rush of adrenaline from shopping doorbusters. I love shopping Carter’s doorbusters since we can get SO MANY cute, quality, clothes without paying an arm and a leg.

Starting on July 25th and running until August 3rd, Carter’s has some pretty sweet deals like Buy One Get one Free Doorbusters. If you are a Rewarding Moments Member (I know my Mom is! Hi Mom!) you earn double the points for shopping from July 25th until August 7th. Now is the time to stock up and save on fall clothes for your kids with $6 and up Girls Tees and Leggings and Boys Tees and Joggers. The best part? You can even shop these deals ONLINE, yessssss!

Now that I’m living in Virginia, we’re totally going to take advantage of tax free weekends (Maryland is only a 15 minute drive away!) to stock up on even more back to school gear for the kids.  This means we get sweet deals ON TOP of in-store sales and doorbusters. Hey D.C., MARYLAND, AND VIRGINIA FAMILIES, tax free weekend is Friday, August 4th, 2017 until Sunday, August 6th, 2017 for Virginia and Sunday, August 13th to Saturday, August 19th, 2017 for Maryland! Click here to find a Carter's by you!

Poor Lucas is Baby #3 and he’s basically wears all of his older brother’s hand-me-downs since they're still good. But we got him this adorable Long-Sleeve Camo Henley for $7.50 (MSRP $12) for and some comfy French terry shorts for $8 (MSRP $16), because he needs his own things, too!

Isaac is starting part time preschool this fall so we got him some pants with Reinforced Knees for $12 (MSRP $26), this graphic tee that totally sums him up for $7 (MSRP $14), and a Camo Colorblock Windbreaker, perfect for the east coast fall weather, for $22.50 (MSRP $30).

Caleb will be starting Kindergarten this year and is attending a school where they have “standardized student attire” (a fancy word for uniform) but we still want him to have comfy play clothes on the weekends and for after school. He’s truly stepped up to his role as a big bro (Kuya if you’re Filipino) by helping his brother get dressed, getting things for me if I need them, and sharing… even though he REALLLLY doesn’t want to. We scored this tee for $7 (MSRP $14)

And completely by accident, I bought coordinating outfits which is totally adorable.

whatever it was up there... it was super amusing.
