Mushrooms and Green Beans are a staple in southern households. My best friend made some one night and I was craving her recipe. I didn't have all of the ingredients, so I just improvised with whatever I had at home. Lo and behold, I made something yummy and now my family and I probably have this dish once a week because its so quick and easy to make.
Ingredients:
3 TB Sesame Oil (or olive oil)
1/8 cup of Soy Sauce
1/8 cup of Rice Wine Vinegar
1 8oz package of mushrooms
1 package of microwavable, ready to steam, snipped, green beans

Warm sesame oil in a pan over medium heat.
When oil is hot, add mushrooms and cook until soft. While the mushrooms are cooking, steam green beans in microwave according to the minimum amount of time required. For example, it takes 3-5 minutes to cook, I put the green beans in the microwave for 3 minutes.
Take green beans out of the microwave and dump them into the pan of mushrooms.
Add soy sauce and rice wine vinegar, and cook until mushrooms are soft.
Eat and enjoy!

Normally, I add garlic powder and pepper but I had this side with a really garlicky dish and didn’t add it.
ENJOY!
